Crazy Hair Day!

Today was Crazy Hair Day at Chloe's school. We had so much fun getting ready for it. We put her hair in braids last night and she slept in them all night. When she woke up this morning we took them out and combed out her hair. It didn't end up quite as "crazy" as we wanted it, but she was too excited about getting to do so many fun things at school this week.

Big Kid Food...Here I Come!!!

Abigail got to start on real baby food this week. So far she has had Oatmeal which she hates and spits in my face, Prunes which she really likes, and Sweet Potatoes which she really LOVES!!! She has had a bit of a hard time the past few weeks with her reflux and her sensitive tummy issues. She does not tollerate dairy and as a result I have not been able to have any dairy in my diet for the last several months. I am definitely craving milk and cheese, but I am just happy that I haven't had to put her on formula. We have tried giving her formula a few times because I don't make much milk for pumping. We gave her a few bottles of soy formula and it caused some problems for her. Apparently she doesn't tollerate soy formula either. We ended up in the emergency room because she was throwing up so much and she started choking on it. She was just really sick and lethargic. She is totally fine now that her medication for her reflux has been incraesed and we haven't fed her anymore soy formula. I am now working on trying to build up my milk production so that I can have some milk on hand in the freezer so that she can have a bottle when she needs it. I have been pumping like crazy and taking Fenugreek which is an herb that is supposed to increase production, but if anyone has any other suggestions I am open to advice.

Her doctor gave us the go ahead to start on some baby foods that will help her to not be so plugged up. I don't know what it is with my kids but they just don't poop well. We are hoping that by giving her the before mentioned foods that she will start to have an easier time and that it will help with the overall tummy issues that she has been having. It is just hard for me to believe that she is old enough to eat "big kid" food.

A Dancing Princess

Chloe started a dance class in September at our rec center here in Orem. She is having so much fun with her teacher and all of her new friends. She seems to be improving slowly but surely. I realized after the first few classes that she has one more thing in common with her daddy...NO rythm. I wasn't so sure that she would like it as much as she does, but she asks everyday if it is dancing day. They have started learning the dances for their recital in December and I can't wait to see it all put together. I have started dropping her off at class and then I have to go pick Andy up from work while she is dancing so I haven't seen much of practices for the last few weeks. I can't wait for her to be able to perform in her recital and show what she has been learning.
