In the Springtime? I thought that April showers brought May flowers. Who said anything about April SNOW! We woke up this morning to another 5 inches of snow in our yards. As much as I am hating snow at the moment (mostly because it is Spring and should be sunny and warm by now) it was the most beautiful thing I have seen in such a long time. Up above there were hardly any clouds in a bright blue sky.
Looking up, you would never suspect that the world looked like winter.
We had a bad rain storm yesterday with a little snow mixed in, but it had all mostly melted by the time I got off work. It was raining when we went to bed, but sometime during the night the snow must have been blizzarding.
As I was standing outside with Andy this morning while he was scraping the snow off of the car so that I could take him to work, I was amazed at the beauty that I saw all around me.
It was like I was in the middle of a dream. The snow was very wet and slippery, and it was so heavy that there were branches broken off of the trees. As we drove down Center Street in Orem, all the trees that just yesterday had the most beautiful blossoms on them, were now sagging and drooping towards the ground. All the branches were weighed down like there was something they needed to provide shelter for.
I couldn't get out my camera fast enough. I wish I would have had it on the drive because it was so beautiful to see the purple blossoms under a fresh blanket of snow. The trees around our house had just started to put on dresses of green leaves and are now covered in snow.
As much as I hate snow, I am so glad that I didn't miss this one!

She fed him a little bit of hay through the coral, but she would not touch him or go inside the coral with Kellis. She had so much fun. They went back out and did it again on Saturday morning. We let the dogs out to play, and I was so excited to see Lady.
She is probably my favorite dog ever. She is big and cuddly and she will love you to death. Chloe loved playing with the dogs up there. Everytime we would let them out, they would run through the field behind the house to chase "Whistle Pigs". The little dog, Maggie, thinks that she is a big dog too and runs out in the field. This was us coming back in from chasing her out of the neighbors yard. She had chased the Whistle Pigs clear out of the yard, and she is so small that you lose her in the weeds.
Kellis stands at the back doora and shoots at them and the birds. He tried to get Chloe to shoot his gun, but she wouldn't.
My brother's house in on 5 acres and it is so much fun to have such a big place to run around and play. We got out the 4-wheeler and rode around the fields a little. Chloe got to ride with Uncle Kellis for a little bit and we discovered that she only knows one speed...FAST!
He had stopped by the house to talk with Chantel for a minute and Chloe pulled the throttle and they were off faster than expected. He even taught me how to ride. I wasn't very good at it though. Sunday morning, Chloe woke up to an Easter egg hunt and loved finding all the eggs hidden around the house. Thanks Aunt Chantel & Cassie. You made her day with that. Then we got dressed and ready for church.
Caleb was giving his homecoming talk in sacrament meeting, and Cassie was speaking too. They did a wonderful job and it is great to see how much they have grown. It is hard to believe that two years have passed by and Caleb is back, but we are so glad to have him home again. We got to spend some time with Nicole and her finace T.J. on Sunday too. We are so happy for them and can't wait until we get to go to their wedding in July. After church and a little lunch, we were off for home again. Chloe was so sad to be leaving, but I think that she was really excited to see her daddy last night. I know I was. Ihope that all of our friends and family were able to have a great Easter and that the Easter Bunny brought some good stuff to you!
