We are having a BABY!!!! I know you are shocked right? We are completely floored and are still kind of in a daze. After 3 1/2 years of trying and 3 years of expensive fertility treatments and disappointment we had given up on the thought of ever getting pregnant again. We donated all of our baby furniture and clothes to the Foster Care System and were finally feeling really good about going on with our lives and feeling VERY blessed to have our little Princess Chloe. Then all of a sudden it hit me one morning that I had been getting up to go to the bathroom every night for four straight nights...something that I NEVER have to do, and I had such bad reflux every morning. After I dropped Andy & Chloe off at work and daycare the thought came that maybe I needed to take that last pregnancy test in the bathroom cupboard just to make sure. I got home and took the test absolutely certain that the result would be negative just like every other test in the last 3 1/2 years. I didn't pay much attention to the little blinking test at first because I knew what it would say and so I just went about my usual morning routine and nearly passed out when I did look at it and it said PREGNANT. I ran to grab my phone and with my hands shaking out of control I took a picture of the test and texted it to Andy with a message that says "Call Me". I couldn't wrap my head around the possibility. I was POSITIVE that the test had gone bad in the cupboard. Andy called and we talked for a minute and I told him that I wanted to go to the doctor just to make sure that it was true because I was certain that I wasn't pregnant. I called Andy's sister Amie to find out who her doctor was because I do not like the doctor who I had been seeing recently. She went with me later that day to take a blood test at the hospital and then I was to go back two days later and do it again so they could measure the amounts of HCG in my blood. Little side note...I had been on the HCG diet most of the summer and no one really knows how long the hormones will stay in your system. I was certain that was what turned the test positive...aparently I was wrong because the day I was supposed to go back in for the second test I got a call from the doctors office. The nurse told me that the doctor wanted me to come in for an ultrasound the next day. She didn't tell me if she had gotten the results of the blood test back or what they said, but I was sure it would be bad news and I would have a tumor or something. So Andy and I went the next day to the doctors office and sure enough this is what we saw...
