A Boulter Family Christmas

We had the Boulter Family Christmas party the day after Christmas this year. It was so much fun to get together with family that we don't see as often as we wish we could. Casey & Neika came from Wyoming with their girls, and Chris & Janet were up from Vernal with their girls as well. We don't get to see any of them often enough so it is especially nice when the holidays roll around and we get to spend a little more time with them. Grandma & Grandpa spoiled all of the grandkids as usual...as well as the rest of us. The kids all got pajamas, a movie, and a baby alive animal (I am not sure what they are really called...we are out of the loop) which I think was the highlight for all of the kids. The big boys were all given a screwdriver set and a really neat flashlight which they all loved, and all the big girls were given a couple of watches (my personal favorite accessory) and a Scentsy Candle complete with scents! I think they did a wonderful job of giving gifts that we will all love and enjoy. I would have to say that there was an extra special feeling in the Boulter house that night as we were all given one of the best presents we have ever gotten. Grandpa pulled the oldest child from each family, and as they stood there in anticipation of what was in the package they possessed. Grandpa's Dad had collected coins and gave them to Grandpa and he decided to pass them along to his kids and grandkids. It was a simple inexpensive gift that means more to me than any amount of money or wealth. It was the gift of a family and a reminder of how special and important our family is. I had been waiting all season for that special feeling to come...you know the one...that warmth and love that comes from above. I finally found it that night. I feel so lucky and so blessed that I got to marry into such a special family. Thank you Dad & Mom for giving me that special Christmas Spirit this year. We love you all so much!

Christmas With Nana!

Every year since my dad died we have spent the night with my mom on Christmas Eve and had Christmas morning with her. We love going to Nana's for Christmas. I never got to spend Christmas's with my grandparents because they lived so far away so it has been so important to me that our kids get to spend as much time as possible with theirs. Chloe was so excited when she saw the Christmas tree and all the presents. She thought they all were for her. Most of them actually were this year though. She got a new Barbie, a set of Princess and the Frog toys, and a couple of movies from Santa. Mom and Dad gave her lots of new clothes, and Nana gave her a new trunk of Fairy dress-up clothes and a Princess scooter which she has ridden from morning until bedtime everyday. So far this has been my favorite Christmas with Chloe. She was so fun and she got excited over everything. On Christmas Eve Nana took us to Canyon View Park in Spanish Fork to see the Christmas lights and it was so fun to hear Chloe OOOOH & AHHHH from the back seat. She thought everything was beautiful and didn't want to leave when we were done. It was too cute. I love Christmas time and the feelings that it brings as we remember our Savior and the reasons why we are here. It is a wonderful time to hold your family close and make special memories that will last for a lifetime. I LOVE my life and I LOVE my family and I am so lucky to have them. I wish that the feelings of peace and love that we feel at Christmas time could last all year long.
