TAG, I'm it!!! Thanks Neika!

How to play this game of tag: Post these rules on your blog. List: 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals, 3 current obsessions/collections, 3 random surprising facts about yourself. Tag 5 people at the end of your post by leaving their names.

I guess there is no going back now.....

3 JOYS: I love spending time with my husband (as long as he isn't glued to the playstation). I love the look on Chloe's face when she goes potty in the big toilet. Even though it is corny, I love seeing her run as fast as she can to get to the car where I am anxiously waiting for her when Andy goes in to get her from daycare. It is really nice to drop her off and have grown up time during the day, but I absolutely love picking her back up at the end of the day.

3 FEARS: My biggest fear is having something happen to Andy. Being all alone and having to raise Chloe without her daddy would be really hard. I really do rely on him a lot when it comes to her. Most of the time she minds him better than me (I think it is because he has a louder daddy voice than my mommy is mad voice). Spiders and other crawly things. I HATE them!!! Anytime I see a spider I freeze where I am and yell for Andy to come kill it. I am sure it annoys him, but he is always good to come to my rescue. Third but not least, HEIGHTS!!! I am not so much afraid of being in a high place, it is more the falling from the high place and my mind always wanders to how will it feel when I fall down from here.

3 GOALS: #1 Lose weight, I am working on this one but it has been a slow process. #2 Save enough money to take Andy to visit my family in Georgia. This will be an even slower process, I am sure. #3 Spend as much quality time with my family as possible.

3 CURRENT OBSESSIONS/COLLECTIONS: I collect porcelain dolls and Willow Tree figurines. (Hint: These are always my favorite presents to receive...Andy) I have been really obsessing over my plants lately. I am always trying to find new ways to take care of them and make them grow bigger. One day I will have a house full of beautiful plants! Finally, reading the Twilight books, or any other book I can get my hands on. I have a very quiet job and so I read a lot of books at work when I am not busy.

3 RANDOM SURPRISING FACTS ABOUT ME: I love playing the Wii. I know this isn't shocking to some, but mostly I am not really into video games which is my husband's most favorite thing to do. We bought a Wii and I play it almost more than he does. (Yes, this purchase was even my idea which is even more shocking!) I love to sing and dance to the radio while I am driving in the car which makes Andy laugh at me! We all have a freak flag, and I am not afraid to wave mine high. I have burping contests with my brother whenever I see him. He taught me this fine talent when I was young and I used to be really good at it!!!

A Friendly Visit!!

We got the best news last week that some of our very best friends were coming to visit from California!! We were so excited that we could hardly contain ourselves. We had just seen Chelsea and baby Tylie a few months ago, but we haven't seen Shane for a whole year. They were coming into town because one of Chelsea's friends was getting married and they took a little time out of their busy schedule to pencil us in for lunch on Sunday. We met up at the Provo Towne Centre and visited while we grabbed a bite to eat and then did a little shopping before it was time to say good-bye. It was a short visit, but I am so glad that we got to see them for a little while. Chloe and I had so much fun playing with Aunt Chelsea and Baby Tylie, and Andy was excited to see Shane and not be the odd man out for a change. I am sure that Tylie was so glad to get away from her. Thanks for fitting us in and I miss you guys already!!!

My Best Friend's Wedding

What an amazing day 08.08.08...it was the opening day of the Beijing Olympics, but more importantly, it was my best friend's wedding day. Imagine a friendship that has outlived numerous lousy boyfriends, separations, lives going in different directions, babies, and everyday struggles. I have never met anyone like Jeni. She has been my right arm, my sister, my confidant, my friend, psychologist, and the best person I have ever known. She has been through many struggles and is still always there to help someone else even when she can barely take care of herself she is trying to do things to help others. We have been the best of friends since the day we met at school 16 years ago purely by chance. I like to say that it is pure fate thought brought her into my life. I didn't have a lot of friends in Middle School and when it came time to sign up for a locker for 7th grade I didn't have anyone to sign up with. This meant that I would just get assigned a partner for the next year. Being a shy person who doesn't make friends easy, I was terrified of who they would assign to be my partner. I got to school on the first day of 7th grade and met Jeni at my locker. Fate had not only assigned me a locker partner, but also my best friend for life.

Three years ago, Jeni had been in a really bad relationship and was having a baby. This would be another important turning point in our friendship. She gave birth to a beautiful baby boy and named him Addison. He is such an amazing kid. He loves everyone and brings a lot of joy to his mommy, which she is so deserving of having in her life. He has been such a blessing to her and she is a great mommy. I think that Chloe has a little crush of her own, and how could I not approve of a kid like that? This is what we caught them doing at the wedding.

A little over a year ago, Jeni finally met her "Soul Mate". She has been the happiest I have ever seen her, and he is so good to her! Jeni and Gabe were married yesterday and it was a beautiful day. I got to spend the whole day with her helping her get ready, doing her hair and make-up, laughing, remember the past years, and looking forward to many more. I am so excited for her and Gabe and I know that they are going to be happy for many years to come. I have been waiting for her to get rescued by her knight in shining armor for a long time, and it has finally happened. Thank you Gabe for making my best friend so happy and for taking such good care of her and Addison. I am so excited for you all of you!!

The Pinedale, WY Aquatic Center A Great Place To Be

So, most of our family and friends who read our blog probably have no idea where Pinedale, WY is...I had never heard of the place until I married into my husband's wonderful family. A little history lesson for all of us. This is the place where Andy's dad grew up; his greandparents, great grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. are all burried in the humongous cemetery there; and Pinedale now houses a new generation of Boulters. Casey and Neika moved their little family out there a few months before Andy and I got married to pursue better employment opportunities. It is about an hour and a half outside of Jackson Hole, but don't ask me which direction because I have absolutely no idea and I am terrible with directions. Back to the story at hand....This small town has built a ginormous (yes, I made that word up because I couldn't think of anything else to describe this grand structure) Aquatic Center complete with an olympic size swimming pool, kids pool with slides and a lazy river, rock climbing wall (Way to go Neika...She made it to the top twice!), raquet ball courts, and so on and so forth. Casey and Neika gave us all a special treat and rented out the entire building on Saturday night after Haley's Baptism. Can you imagine such a big building and 60 individual friends and family members to share in the fun. It was a BLAST!!! Literally, the slide went so fast that you felt like you were blasting out of the bottom of it. All of the kids had so much fun going down the slide, and I think that Andy truly found his inner child at the swimming pool that day. He probably made more trips down the slide than anyone else. Mostly because by the time he got to the bottom with Chloe, she wanted to go right back up and do it all over again. I was standing at the top of the slide anxiously awaiting my turn to go when all of a sudden I hear Andy and Casey screaming for Chloe to stop. I looked down just in time to grab her by the arm and pull her away from the top of the slide. She was ready to go all by herself. That was a scary moment for me, but she made it safely to the bottom holding on to Daddy. Thank you Casey and Neika for giving us all such a fun family night.

2 Special Days For 2 Special Girls

We had so much fun on our trip visiting with cousins, brothers, sisters, etc. We had two very special events taking place that made the long trip so worthwhile. Our niece Haley was baptized and confirmed on Saturday the 26th of July and our other niece Megan was blessed on Sunday the 27th of July. It was such a blessing to us that we were able to be there to witness such a special time in Casey and Nieka's family. Both girls looked so beautiful in their white dresses, and both days we were able to feel such a sweet spirit in their home and at their church. Casey did a beautiful job blessing his baby and baptizing his little lady. We had so much fun playing with the kids and seeing how much everyone has grown. Chloe loves to play with her cousins, and the minute we were back in Utah she asked if we could go back to play with Haley, Kinney and Ashley some more. Unfortunately we live so far away that it will be a while before that happens again. Thank you so much Casey and Neika for taking such good care of us and opening up your house for all of our potty training craziness while we were there. One day when we have a house we hope we can repay the favor.

We're Off To See The Wyoming Boulters

So after a long night of packing and so much excitement that we couldn't sleep it was finally time to leave for our long drive to Wyoming. There isn't much to see at 5:00 am in Provo, UT, but once you get up into the mountains and the sun starts to come up you see a whole new beautiful world. I took a lot of really pretty pictures from the car on our drive, and some not so pretty pictures of the three of us in the car on the drive.
